Dataphyte Launch Live Reporting 2025 Anambra State Elections

Dataphyte has announced plans to offer real-time updates on the Anambra State Governorship Election scheduled for 8 November 2025. The live update will include incident reports, party and candidates profiles, election results, and other election-related developments across polling units in the state.

In the statement issued by the organisation, the Country Director, Oluseyi Olufemi, stated that Dataphyte will, on election day, provide live blogging of voting processes, electoral conduct, and result announcements. These updates will be shared via Dataphyte’s policy research communication platform and its social media channels. He further stated that as part of its pre-election activities, the data for the development organisation will publish key election information and insights such as polling unit setup, arrival of polling officers, distribution of election materials, and overall electoral logistics.

This effort forms part of Dataphyte's continued effort towards media resourcing, data access and civic technology solution towards a credible and data-driven election observation in Nigeria and beyond.

Funmilayo Babatinde, a program officer with Dataphyte also noted organisations is also implementing its election reporting as part of its contribution to the membership of the Media Coalition for Electoral Reporting ahead of the upcoming Anambra State Governorship Election scheduled for 8 November 2025. The coalition, established under CJID’s Media in National Elections (MiNE) Project, aims to promote factual and inclusive election reporting, strengthen electoral accountability, and improve citizens’ access to reliable information during the electoral process.
